I was paired with a few other people in class and was presented with a task to prepare a lesson and teach it to the class. This gave us an hour to work together to figure out who gets what parts and who presents what and what kind of techonology we would use. I thought that the planning part went well, and everyone in the group had a part and was able to present it.
I think that the lesson went well. We were all nervous because of how soon we had to present our lesson and we felt unprepared but I think that overall it went well. We were prepared with a video, webquest, and ways to implement our lesson in the classroom.I can't wait to see the feedback from the class and from my group members. I thinkt hat overall we worked well together and no one was left to do more then their share.
There was some room for imporvement during our lesson, I forgot to ask the check for understanding questions and our glogster didn't work out the way we thought it would. It showed only half of it and some of the pictures didn't work so I tried to look for them online while the person who was presenting was talking about them. I also wish that we would have found some misconceptions about severe weather, because I am sure that there are alot and we could have clarifed these misconceptions for the class. I did like that we added in the webquest and how that could be used to guide the next lesson. I also liked the video we added and it could be used a review before the class started the webquest. We didn't have a chance to present it together as a group before we presented it to the class and that was a little difficult to just do, but I think that we all worked well together.
I do think that this was a good thing to see, because it really opens your eyes to how well a group can do if they practice it once or twice before to the class. I think that my group was flexible and helped and supported each other while speaking there was not a person in my group who couldn't help the other person out if needed and this is real team work.
